David Voorhees

Chef

David found his love for the culinary arts at a young age by watching his mother and grandmother prepare family meals. These artistic women helped him find his passion for food, encouraging him every step of the way. 

David is from a military family. Originally from Grand Rapids Michigan, his family moved to many places such as Junction City, Kansas, and San Antonio, Texas, before settling in Montgomery, Alabama

As the chef at theBubblyHen, he has helped create some of the magic you see on the menu. With 20 years of experience in the business, he has learned so much. His first job in a restaurant was as a dishwasher and he has worked his way through all kitchen positions.

David, along with his wife and bubbly bar Manager, Roxanne, have three wonderful children together person, Hayes, and Kaydence. David also has an older son, Hunter

Outside of work, David enjoys watching his favorite soccer team(Chelsea FC), watching movies, and listening to heavy metal music. However, he most enjoys spending time with his family and being able to share the things he enjoys with them
